1. The doctor performing your evaluation and procedure will be a highly qualified, Board-Certified physician specializing in vascular and vein problems.
Not all vein treatment physicians are trained and certified to provide subspecialty vein and vascular care. All of the Women's Vein Clinics' physicians are both Board-Certified in Radiology - which qualifies them to perform and interpret your ultrasound exam - as well as subspecialty Board-Certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Whether it's sclerotherapy session or a complex laser ablation, only a trained vascular physician will perform your procedure. Always insist that your physician is highly qualified and Board-Certified to provide this type of specialty care – you deserve it!
2. You will always see a vein specialist physician during your evaluation.
Many clinics and offices will have only nurses or technicians screen your problem initially. With a practice that includes six vein and vascular treatment specialists, you will have the care of a Board-Certified physician at every stage of your evaluation, treatment, and aftercare. Your care at the Women's Vein Clinics will always be performed by a specialty physician who’s dedicated to vein treatment.
3. More experience means more confidence in your diagnosis and procedure.
The easy, close collaboration among our team of doctors means that you will always have access to additional, professional diagnosis of your problem. Our physicians were some of the first in SE Wisconsin to offer laser ablation therapy, and with six physicians each averaging 10 to 15 years experience as vein and vascular specialists, we've seen most variations and forms of vascular disease. And there is never an additional charge for referral to another of the Women's Vein Clinic physicians for a second or confirmatory opinion.
4. We can draw from a wide range of treatment options.
While some centers specialize in a single form of treatment, we offer a full range of treatment procedures. Our practice includes, sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, laser vein ablation, and even in-hospital catheter-based vein treatment, including embolization.
5. We have multiple locations from which to serve you.
We are the only vein treatment practice literally serving all of SE Wisconsin. You may access our services in: Brookfield, Whitefish Bay, Kenosha, Elkhorn/Lake Geneva, and Hartford/West Bend.
6. We have insurance specialists who will work to qualify you.
Our team of billing and insurance specialists' sole job is to do everything necessary and appropriate to see that you obtain the full insurance coverage to which you're entitled. After obtaining the requisite information, they submit it to the insurance provider, help to clarify details for your insurance company, work to resubmit additional information when required, and always make certain that you have a complete understanding of the billing process. Not all vein clinics provide this value-added service.
7. We have a nurse and physician team on call 24/7 to help with any medical questions and concerns.
Not only is a nursing professional available during your initial evaluation, but one is always available by phone to clarify medical instructions, help you fill the appropriate prescriptions prior to and following your procedure, and even take calls in the evenings and weekends after the office is closed. These professionals have extensive experience in dealing with patients with vein problems and are there to offer practical, professional help whenever you need it. The on-call nurse also has 24-hour access to a WVC doctor to address any special or unusual circumstances.
8. Our doctors have the ability to schedule your case in a hospital, if needed.
Some patients have complex problems which cannot be addressed by outpatient procedures alone. We have a large hospital-based practice and run five hospital procedure suites which allows us to solve highly complex problems. Many vein practices do not offer this additional level of care option.
9. We use doctors outside our practice to provide complete care for your problem and any related complications.
Some problems require the use of other specialists such as surgeons, dermatologists, wound care specialists and podiatrists. We work regularly with all of these specialties and can refer you for additional care whenever your situation requires it.
